The machinery configuration of this boat is a little unusual in that the engine is located in the large cockpit area under an engine box and driving a shaft leading forward to a "V" drive transmission forward of the engine to a conventional shaft drive. This effectively isolates the engine from the interior of the boat for much quieter operation and allows very easy access to the engine for service.

The combination Wallace diesel glass cooktop / heater keeps the cabin very warm. This unit serves both as a cooktop and a forced air cabin heater. In addition a forced air heater using engine coolant is hidden under the salon seating.
Up stairs forward is the pilot house with the helm to starboard and additional seating to port. A sliding door to the side deck is provided on both sides of the pilot house allowing easy access to the side decks and the bow or stern from the pilot house. The raised pilot house has rear windows allowing a 360 degree view from the helm.
Down stairs forward from the pilot house is the bow compartment with a V-berth and removable center filler making a full width berth. The forward V-berth has excellent storage compartments built in and is very large and comfortable. Internal lights have been well placed to allow for night time reading and dressing.
