Broker's Comments
This Beneteau Oceanis 510 is the three-cabin owner’s version, with a crew cabin in the forepeak. She's had two owners and has been sailed and lived on exclusively by the last owner since acquisition in 1999.
She’s a big, beamy boat and that space is definitely noticeable both above and below decks. The cockpit is generous with twin wheels and access to a drop-down transom platform. The teak decks are laid throughout and show wear in places, including some thinning and areas where the caulking is lifting (see photos).
Below decks, the saloon is very spacious, with the typical Oceanis finish — lots of wood and natural light. The galley is large with plenty of storage and workspace. Cabins and heads appear clean and well-kept, though the upholstery would benefit from a thorough clean.
The rig includes an in-mast furling mainsail and a furling genoa. The owner tells us the in-mast system was replaced 8 years ago along with boom fittings. The standing rigging looks aged and due for inspection. There are four winches, including one electric, with lines led aft to the cockpit.
The engine bay looks clean and dry (see photos), and there is a video available showing the engine starting and running. According to the owner the engine was last serviced December '23. It is a 12V, 2 bank system, start and house, with one house battery dedicated to the bow thruster. Engine battery was replaced May ’25. Navigation equipment and systems are present and functioning but appear to be older.
The underwater hull was entirely done back in 2010. She was last antifouled in 2022, and has been kept clean with regular diver visits since. The boat hasn’t been sailed recently and would benefit from general recommissioning before setting off on longer passages.
Overall, a very spacious and comfortable cruiser with plenty of scope for updating and getting back out on the water.
