Aft deck fully covered by canvases new in 2024 makes this a great outdoor space to be enjoyed all year with uncluttered seating for six.

Ladder access to swim platform and swim ladder, dinghy in davits and Honda 4 stroke 2hp outboard hung from the taffrail. Helm to starboard and central companionway down to the saloon accesses by a very reassuring spiral staircase. Saloon with 1.9m headroom deep windows and doors to port and starboard give great ventilation and a real sense of space and light.

Bench seating to starboard converts into a double bed if need. TV with DVD player to port helm to starboard. The side windows all have blinds and there are sun shades for the saloon and aft deck.

Plenty of storage, warm wood finishings, upholstery and headlinings in very nice condition and a pull out drinks cabinet adds a nice touch.

I keep having to remind myself that this is a 1979 boat and not a 2007 boat. Forward and down to the galley (2.5m headroom) with fridge, 2 burner cooker with oven and grill new 2022 and microwave also new 2022. Opposite to starboard is a heads and shower compartment with 1.92m headroom.

Forward again to a spacious V berth guest cabin with with wardrobe to starboard and full length mirror to port. Two V berths of 1.85m x 0.65m each Again the upholstery and wood finishings are in very nice condition. Back through the saloon to the main cabin aft with central bed 1.9m x 1.4m max. and headroom of 1.95m. Dressing tables and wardrobes at each side of the bed, heads to starboard 1.79m headroom and separate shower room 0.9m x 1m and 1.76m headroom to port.

Heating throughout the boat is from electric heaters (new 2022). AC from a solidly mounted 9000BTU AC unit fitted new in 2024. Hot water from a boiler connected to 220v electric and an engine calorifier.

Broker's Comments

Broom Crown 37 for sale in the south of France. Boatshed Midi Canals is pleased to offer this classic Broom twin engine motor cruiser for sale.

What a pleasure to find such a well-kept vessel. The Broom Crown is a very capable coastal vessel and yet still of comfortable dimensions for the inland navigations. This one has cruised the rivers and canals of France, Holland, Germany and Belgium and spent the last few years navigating the canal du midi and Med. coast here in the south of France.

This is a really nice example of a simple, solid, yet comfortable motor cruiser with timeless classic appeal. Sold "ready to use" with crockery, cutlery, pots/pans, glasses etc. all included. Just the two folding bikes seen on our photos are not included in the sale.
